Biography: |
Hausner studied art at the Vienna Academy. He began as an Expressionist, and later moved into Surrealism and Fantastic Realism. In 1962, he organized an exhibition which brought these two groups together. It was called “Surrealism – The Fantastic Painting of the Present Day.” Hausner went on to become a professor at the Vienna Fine Arts Academy, and also the Hamburg Fine Arts Academy. His works include “Lacoon” (1968) and “Adam” (1968).
