| Biography: |
Atlan, who was degreed in philosophy, began with abstract art. He later joined the surrealist movement in 1947. Using his activist spirit, for which he was arrested for in 1942, he created several powerful works of art. Two of the works he is known for include "Le Kahena", and "Composition".
