| Biography: |
Lesage began working as a miner, and started painting around 1912. By 1932, he gave up mining, and dedicated his life to painting. The Surrealists took interest in Lesage's symetrical and repetitive style. He is best know for the three meter by three meter medium painting he created between 1911 and 1912.
