| Biography: |
Lestie studied art at Bayonne and Bordeaux before being discovered at the Paris Biennale in 1967. His first solo exhibits were in 1965, in New York, Paris, and Coppenhagen. His approach to painting can be considered detailed, and his works include "Communication, Abundance, and Maternity" and "Melodrama" (1973-74).
